BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 6-710

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
6-710.
(a) This section applies only in Worcester County.
(b) The annual license fee is [$100] $500.
(c) The Board of License Commissioners may issue a caterer's license to a
holder of a:
(1) Class B restaurant or hotel (on-sale) beer, wine and liquor license; OR
(2) CLASS D BEER, WINE AND LIQUOR LICENSE.
(d) A caterer's license issued under this section authorizes the holder to
provide alcoholic beverages at events that are held off [the Class B restaurant or
hotel (on-sale) beer, wine and liquor license] premises LICENSED AS A CLASS B
RESTAURANT OR HOTEL OR A CLASS D ESTABLISHMENT.
(e) The holder shall provide food as well as alcoholic beverages for
consumption at the catered event.
(f) A holder may exercise the privileges under [this] A CATERER'S license only
during the hours and days that are permitted in this article for [a] THE HOLDER'S
Class B restaurant or hotel (on-sale) beer, wine and liquor license OR CLASS D BEER,
WINE AND LIQUOR LICENSE.
(g) This section does not require a holder of an existing Class B restaurant or
hotel (on-sale) beer, wine and liquor license OR CLASS D BEER, WINE AND LIQUOR
LICENSE to have a caterer's license for catering on the premises that is covered by the
Class B OR CLASS D license.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2006.
