Ch. 552                                    2006 LAWS OF MARYLAND
concerning the salary or compensation of the substitute member of the Baltimore City
Board of Elections shall take effect at the beginning of the next following term of
office. SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, subject to the provisions
of Section 2 of this Act, this Act shall take effect October 1, 2006. Enacted May 26, 2006.
CHAPTER 552
(Senate Bill 1064) AN ACT concerning Election Law - Baltimore City Democratic Party Central Committee - Membership FOR the purpose of altering the membership of the Baltimore City Democratic Party
Central Committee; specifying that each member of the Baltimore City
Democratic Party Central Committee shall reside in, and be elected by the
voters of, the legislative district that the member represents; and generally
relating to the membership of the Baltimore City Democratic Party Central
Committee. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Annotated Code of Maryland
(2003 Volume and 2005 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article - Election Law 4-203. (b) (1) (I) In Baltimore City, [the members of] the Democratic Party
Central Committee [shall be elected from the] CONSISTS OF SEVEN MEMBERS
ELECTED FROM EACH OF THE SIX legislative districts of Baltimore City [as follows: (i) five members shall be elected from the Baltimore City part of
each of the eight legislative districts in which all or a majority of the population
resides in Baltimore City; and (ii) one member shall be elected from the Baltimore City part of
each of the two legislative districts in which a minority of the population resides in
Baltimore City]. - 2690 -
