Ch. 547 2006 LAWS OF MARYLAND
(ii) [$7,250] $8,250 for calendar year [2003] 2007; (iii) [$7,500] $8,500 for calendar year [2004] 2008; and (iv) [$7,750] $8,750 for calendar year [2005] 2009 and each
subsequent calendar year. (2)     The salary of the Chief Judge is: (i) [$7,200] $8,200 for calendar year [2002] 2006; (ii) [$7,450] $8,450 for calendar year [2003] 2007; (iii) [$7,700] $8,700 for calendar year [2004] 2008; and (iv) [$7,950] $8,950 for calendar year [2005] 2009 and each
subsequent calendar year. (3)     The County Commissioners may provide additional funds for
expenses for the judges. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III, §
35 of the Maryland Constitution, this Act may not be construed to extend or apply to
the salary or compensation of the County Commissioners of Calvert County, Calvert
County Treasurer, Sheriff of Calvert County, or Orphans' Court Judges for Calvert
County in office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act
concerning the salary or compensation of the County Commissioners of Calvert
County, Calvert County Treasurer, Sheriff of Calvert County, or Orphans' Court
Judges for Calvert County shall take effect at the beginning of the next following term
of office. SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2006. Enacted May 26, 2006.
