"Per diem" § 8-425
"Prospective juror" § 8-101

8-105(a) and 8-401(a). In subsection (a) of this section, references to coercion, intimidation, and
threats are added, and the former word "solely" is deleted, to ensure better
protection of employment. Also in subsection (a) of this section, reference to "being in proximity to"
court is added for consistency to former CJ § 8-106(a) now revised CJ §
8-425. Also in subsection (a) of this section, reference to "employment" time is
substituted for the former reference to "job" time, for internal consistency. Also in subsection (a) of this section, reference to "jury service" is
substituted for the former reference to "service or prospective service as a
petit or grand juror", for brevity. As to "may not" and "person", see Art. 1, §§ 26 and 15 of the Code,
respectively. Defined term: "Circuit court" § 1-101 8-502. LEAVE. (A) PROHIBITED ACT.
