       a breif account in writeing of their Evidences which is what is contained
       within and that it is the substance of what they declared to the best of
       his knowledge   the which Copy of y.e Evidences follows Viz.t
                                Aug.t 25.th 1708

          The Deposition of William Cathrop that he has knowne the white
       oake where the pl.t beginns to have been the Reputed bounded
       tree of Mount hope for Twenty odd Years and that he never knew
       any other Tree for that Land that John Edmondson told him that
       was the first bounded Tree  And from that Tree sold the Lands
       out of Mount hope

                  John Barker swears that he was upon ^a^ Jury as near as he
       cann remember about 13 or 14 years agoe at the Running out of
       Mount hope and that they was shewed the afd white oake to be the
       first Tree and then they begunn their survey

                   Francis Neale on his Test declares that after John Edmondson
       bought the Land Called Mount hope said John Edmondson brought
       him with Joshua Baxter and diverse others to the afd Tree & from
       thence they runn out the Land and then there was no dispute
       but that this was the tree and as Near as cann be Computed by
       all Circumstances it was about 23 years agoe and that since it
       has been Runn out severall times from that Tree
