4.thly   I heard the Skipper say that her sailes was bad and doe know that
       M.r Forbes did borrow a Crapling Iron of M.r Knowles

6.thly   About Seaventeene or Eighteene dayes after I delivered the
       boat to M.r Forbes comeing to my quarters I there recd notice of
       M.r Forbes Coming by Ralph Stevens that he had sent the five
       man boat to Why Towne and had no further use for her by reason
       she was insufficient to doe his business through her leakiness and
       desired me to informe M.r Lowe in about four dayes I writt to M.r
       Lowe to acquaint him of the matter I understood by Ralph Stevens
       that the boat ^had^ beene at Wye Towne about a weeke and that he
       had beene of my quarters Three or four days to tell me of it
       I asked Ralph Stevens why they had not carryed her to M.r Lows
       at Choptanke according to Agreement who replyd she was
       soe leaky that they were afraid to venture theire lives in her

7.thly   I writt to M.r Lowe to acquaint him of the boates being at Wye
       but whether he recd my letter or had notice by other meanes
       I know not

8.th   I did employ Edward Russell to keepe the water out of her
       and gave him about five shillings and a paire of shoose for soe
       doeing who tole he went Two or Three tymes a day to pump her or
       else she would have sunck

10.th   When I delivered the boat to M.r Forbes I had direccons to Engage him
       to send her to M.r Lowe at Choptank and when I asked M.r Forbes
       whether he would carry her there he replyd yes for he had goods
       at Choptank and Phapps should take the boat for a longer
       tyme of M.r Lowe as to the discourse about the price of the
       hire doe remember

12.th   I doe know by informacon of the Skipper that before and at the
       time M.r Forbes hired the five man boat that she was very leaky
       and that after she came to Wye and not lookt after she sunck
