Present   His Exc.y y.e Gov.r Keep.r of y.e seal &
               The Hon.rble Coll Jn Hamond of y.e Councill

       His Exc.cy took y.e usuall oath of Keep.r administred to him by Coll
       Hamond above named & 2 other of y.e Councill in these words

viz   I do swear & Gov.r & Keep.r of y.e great seal of this her Maj.ties pvince
       y.t I will do & Cause y.t Equity & Right & Justice be done to all
       her Maj.ties subjects & suitors in her Maj.ties high Court of Chancery & all
       other psons whatsoever as well poor as rich & y.t I will not deny y.e
       same to any pson for any Reason or Matter whatsoever but Heartily
       & truly according to my Conscience execute this trust by her
       most sacred Maj.ty in Me reposed  so help Me God &c

Also his Hon.r Coll Hamond was sworn to Act & do according to Equity &
    Conscience in his Advice & Assistance to his Exc.cy y.e Keep.r in hearing
    of Causes in y.e s.d Court according to y.e best of his Judgm.t
