Exec.r of Justinian Teneson

Decree
       Whereas heretofore y.t is to say on y.e 29.th day of Nov.r An.o Dom 1700 John
       Coad of S.t Maries County sen.r gent did by his bill of Complaint to y.e high
       Court of Chancery exhibited manifest & shew y.t Justinian Teneson Jun.r of y.e
       s.d County & Elizabeth his wife did by a certain deed dated An Dom 1696 (for
       divers Considerations in y.e s.d bill expressed) bargain sell enfeof & confirm unto
       y.e s.d Coad & his heirs & assignes forever all y.t plantation & tract of land
       scituate near Wicocomico River with y.e houses orchards &c therto belonging
       bounded with y.e land purchased by Rich.d Forster deceased from Tho Gerard
       decd water bounded by Wicocomoco & back Creek as by a certain Conveyance
       dated in May 1667 from y.e s.d Gerard to y.e Father of y.e s.d Teneson & by y.e s.d
       Fathers will bequeatheding y.e same to y.e s.d Teneson doth appear  And y.t together
       with y.e Originall Conveyance thereof y.e Land afd was by turf and
       twig decd into y.e possession of y.e s.d Jn Coad by s.d Teneson & wife  And
       also y.t y.e s.d Teneson & wife for y.e reasons afd did promise to acknowledg y.e
       s.d Deed in open Court  But y.t y.e s.d Teneson died before he had so acknowledged
       y.e Deed afd & after his death one Giles Hill who intermarried with y.e
       s.d Eliz.th widow of y.e s.d Teneson decd retook y.e possession of y.e Land af.d & together
       with his s.d wife entred upon y.e same  And whereas y.e s.d Jn Coad for want of
       a legall acknowledgm.t of y.e deed afd could not eject y.e s.d Hill & wife &
       therefore by his bill afd prayed to be relieved in Equity  Therefore y.e s.d Court
       of Chancery upon hearing y.e s.d bill & Answ.r & y.e s.d Coads Replication thereto
       read & y.e Cause debated by y.e Councell.rs for both y.e Compl.t & defts doth
       upon this 15.th day of Octob.r An.o Dom 1702 order & decree That y.e s.d
       Compl.t Coad his heirs & Assignes forever shall have held possess & generally
       enjoy y.e s.d Land plantation orchard houses &c in y.e bill afd named
       according to y.e tenor of y.e deed afd thô it was not acknowledged as y.e Law
       directs  And y.t y.e s.d Deft Hill shall pay to y.e s.d Coad all his Cost and
       Charges in this Cause laid out & expended being three thousand sixty
       two pounds of tobacco
