428) Said that he was in his Debt That he was P.rsent at Several times when Daniell Longman and Parrott met to Settle Acc.ts and that Daniel Longman Urged Very much to bring Parrotts Books but he Answered that he would not come to Acc.t w.th him till he had Engagd or would consent to pay him for a Pcell of Rum by Parrott put into Longmans possession but frequently denyed to do it Alleaging that it was put into his hand to Sell for Parrott and that he was ready to render an Acc.t of Sales and would not pay for the rum for that reason and that at the Severall Meetings Parrott Alleagd Longman to be in his Debt but the other as constantly denyed it and Urged to come to Acc.t to See whither it was Soe or not but Parrott denyed Unless he would Agreed to pay for the Rum &c That this Deft had a Difference w.th Longman about Land but Parrott Diswaded this Def.t from it and Said there Should be none till he had further Sattisfaccon from Longman and that Afterwards he See Longman pass bills Exchange to Parrott for Fifty pounds and then Parrott Said to Longman you know your business Octo.r 9.th 1699 Then came John Walters of Ann arundell County and made oath upon the Holy Evangelist that the above Depoticon is true and Just According to the best of his Knowledge Jurat Cora nolis Phill Hoskins Tho.s Greenfeild |
