       broad seal                 & M.r Edward Jones, of Cæcil County planter hath
                                        shewed to our Keeper of y.e great seal of Maryland
                                        & chief Judge in Equity  That upon a Comunication
                                        had between y.e said Complt & one W.m Dare of y.e said
                                        County planter y.e s.d Dare did agree to sell y.e said
                                        Kersey a tract of land about 7 years ago w.ch the
                                        said Dare was then seized of in his Demesne as of Fee
                                        lying & being at y.e head of Elk River  In consideration
                                        whereof y.e s.d Kersey was to pay to y.e s.d Dare 5 thousand
                                        pds of tobacco to be paid in three years time by
                                        equall yearly payments in Elk River Bohemia
                                        & Sassifrax  And accordingly y.e s.d Dare did then [illegible]
                                        the said Kersey with y.e possession of the premisses
