2. Is designed or set with the intent of
capturing an animal by the neck. (ii) "Snare trap" includes: 1.   A pole snare; 2.  Hanging snare; and 3.  Neck snare. (2) In Baltimore, Carroll, CECIL, and Harford
counties, a person may not use, sell, possess, set, place, or
maintain a snare trap. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983. Approved May 10, 1983.
CHAPTER 272 (House Bill 1384) AN ACT concerning Child Abuse - Removal by the Court FOR the purpose of authorizing the representative of a local
department of social services to seek a court order to take
certain actions for the protection and well-being of the
child; permitting the representative to enter the household
under certain circumstances; permitting the removal of a
child under certain circumstances; providing for the review
of the decision by the local department of social services;
permitting the court to order the removal of a child
pursuant to a request by the State's Attorney's office under
certain circumstances; requiring that the local department
of social services provide services in the best interests of
the child; clarifying language; and generally relating to
the actions taken by the department of social services and
the State's Attorney's office regarding child abuse. FOR
the purpose of repealing a requirement that a local State's
Attorney and other appropriate law enforcement agencies take
certain action; and authorizing the State's Attorney's
office to petition the court, under certain circumstances,
to order the removal of a child. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
