(House Bill 938)
AN ACT concerning
Ethics - Local School Boards and Employees
FOR the purpose of providing that a board of education shall be
governed by the ethics provisions adopted by its respective
county unless the board adopts certain provisions concerning
conflicts of interest, financial disclosure, and lobbying
disclosure; providing that such provisions shall be subject
to approval or disapproval by the State Ethics Commission;
repealing certain ethics provisions contained in the
Education Article; and repealing certain provisions relating
to the Board of Education of Baltimore County and
Superintendent of Schools of Baltimore County; providing for
the applicability of certain provisions of this Act;
providing for certain effective dates for the various
sections of this Act; and generally relating to ethics
provisions for local boards of education.
