SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes
278.
(c) In Queen Anne's County, HALF OF the proceeds from the
sale of State stamps [at the rate of 556 of each $500.00 or
fractional part thereof of actual consideration or debt secured]
shall be deposited in an open-spaces land and recreation fund to
be disbursed therefrom by the County Commissioners for general
recreational purposes. After May 1, 1989, the County
Commissioners may review the status of the open-spaces land and
recreation fund and may, in their discretion, direct that the
proceeds from the [55¢ rate] SALE OF STATE STAMPS be placed
thereafter into the general fund of the county.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July I, 1983.

(House Bill 827)
AN ACT concerning
Mortgage Loans - Involuntary Unemployment
Benefit Insurance
FOR the purpose of providing that a lender, at the option of a
borrower, may collect premiums paid for involuntary
unemployment benefit insurance; defining a certain term;
providing that the availability of involuntary unemployment
benefit insurance may not be made contingent on the purchase
of certain other insurance; providing that a lender may net
require a borrower to purchase involuntary unemployment
benefit insurance as a condition of obtaining a loan; and
providing for certain limitations on the coverage of the
involuntary unemployment benefit insurance.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
