(B) IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON TO:
(1) FALSELY REPRESENT HIMSELF AS BEING A MEMBER OF
ANY PAID OR VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, RESCUE SQUAD, OR EMERGENCY
SERVICE UNIT OF THE STATE, BALTIMORE CITY, OR ANY COUNTY OR
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE, WITH FRAUDULENT DESIGN ON A
PERSON OR PROPERTY; OR
(2) HAVE, USE, WEAR, OR DISPLAY WITHOUT PROPER
AUTHORITY ANY UNIFORM, SHIELD, BUTTON, ORNAMENT, IDENTIFICATION,
OR SHOULDER PATCH, OR ANY SIMULATION OR IMITATION OF THESE
ARTICLES, ADOPTED BY ANY PAID OR VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT,
RESCUE SQUAD, OR EMERGENCY SERVICE UNIT FOR THE PURPOSE OF
DECEPTION.
(b) (C) Violation of this section is a misdemeanor
punishable by imprisonment for not more than three (3) years.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

CHAPTER 224
(House Bill 600)
AN ACT concerning
Sheriffs' Sales - Sheriffs and District Court Constables
FOR the purpose of eliminating the requirement that a sheriff
execute a certain writ and file the return in a certain
manner; providing that a District Court constable under
certain circumstances may seize and sell certain property;
and providing that sheriffs and District Court constables
execute writs of execution, conduct sales, and distribute
the proceeds pursuant to rules adopted by the Court of
Appeals.
