SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Commercial Law
12-601.
(j) (1) "Goods" means all tangible personal property that
has a cash price of [$12,500] $25,000 or less.
(2) "Goods" does not include money or things in
action.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

AN ACT concerning
Consumer Loans - Payment Books
FOR the purpose of providing that certain lenders are not
required to issue a receipt if the lender issues to the
borrower a payment book or coupon book and payment is made
by check or money order; and generally relating to the
payment of consumer loans.
