83.
Every employer shall pay to each of his employees, except as
may be provided pursuant to this subtitle, wages at the following
rates:
(3) All employees as may be subject to the provisions
of this subtitle shall receive a wage of one and one-half (1 1/2)
times their usual hourly wage rate for any hours worked in excess
of forty (40) hours during any [work week] WORKWEEK except that
this subsection shall not apply to any of the following
employees:
(j) Any employee engaged in agriculture who is
exempted by the overtime provisions of the federal Fair Labor
Standards Act[, except one so engaged for more than 60 hours per
week]. AN EMPLOYEE COVERED BY THIS PARAGRAPH SHALL RECEIVE A
WAGE OF ONE AND ONE-HALF TIMES THE EMPLOYEE'S USUAL HOURLY WAGE
FOR ANY TIME WORKED IN EXCESS OF 60 HOURS DURING ANY WORKWEEK.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

(House Bill 449)
AN ACT concerning
State Fire Marshal - Fees
FOR the purpose of permitting the State Fire Marshal to collect
certain fees for certain explosives licenses and fireworks
permits; altering certain fees; directing that revenues
received from the fees established by this Act shall be
utilized for certain purposes; and generally relating to the
State Fire Marshal and fees.
