(k) (1) The Commission shall conduct, or cause to be
conducted, annual audits of the fuel procurement and purchasing
practices of all utilities subject to the provisions of this
section.
(2) The Department of Fiscal Services may conduct
audits and studies of the fuel procurement and purchasing
practices of any utility and may examine audits by the Commission
under this section.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

(Senate Bill 760)
AN ACT concerning
Worcester County - Bingo
FOR the purpose of altering the maximum value of bingo prizes and
"jackpot" prizes in Worcester County; and altering the
maximum size of certain signs advertising bingo games in
Worcester County, subject to prohibitions in county or
municipal law.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments
251A.
(j) A prize in cash, merchandise, or services for any one
game of bingo conducted and operated under the provisions of this
section may not exceed in value the amount of [$15] $50, except
that "jackpot" prizes may be offered in a maximum amount of
[$2501 $1,000. If the organization or municipal corporation
conducts and operates a game of bingo on premises which are
rented or leased by it, the rental or leasing agreement must
