LAWS OF MARYLAND
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the real and
personal estate authorized by this Act to be hold by the said
"The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts" for the uses and
purposes herein provided for shall be exempt from all state,
county and municipal taxes forever.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.] Article 22 - Washington County 41. WASHINGTON COUNTY MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS 41-1. (A)   IN THIS CHAPTER, THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED. (B)   "BOARD" MEANS THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE WASHINGTON
COUNTY MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS. (C)   "MUSEUM" MEANS THE WASHINGTON COUNTY MUSEUM OF FINE
ARTS. 41-2. (A)  THERE IS A BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE WASHINGTON COUNTY
MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS. (B)  THE BOARD CONSISTS OF 18 TRUSTEES AS FOLLOWS: (1)   15 TRUSTEES APPOINTED BY THE BOARD; (2)  AS AN EX OFFICIO MEMBER, THE PRESIDENT OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WASHINGTON COUNTY OR A COUNTY
COMMISSIONER DESIGNATED BY THE PRESIDENT; (3)  AS AN EX OFFICIO MEMBER, THE SUPERINTENDENT OF
SCHOOLS OF WASHINGTON COUNTY; AND (4)  AS AN EX OFFICIO MEMBER, THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
HAGERSTOWN OR A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER DESIGNATED BY THE MAYOR. (C)  (1) EACH TRUSTEE SERVES FOR A TERM OF 5 YEARS. (2)  THE TERMS OF THE TRUSTEES ARE STAGGERED AS
REQUIRED BY THE TERMS OF THE TRUSTEES SERVING ON JULY 1, 1988. (3)  A TRUSTEE SERVES ONLY FOR THE REMAINDER OF A TERM
IF THE TRUSTEE IS APPOINTED: (I)  TO FILL A VACANCY IN AN UNEXPIRED TERM; OR (II)  TO SUCCEED A TRUSTEE WHO IS HOLDING OVER.
