(B) THE DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL SHALL ALTER THE ENTRANCE ON
DUTY DATE OF ANY EMPLOYEE OF THE DIVISION OF PAROLE AND PROBATION
UPON SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTATION ESTABLISHING THAT THE EMPLOYEE
MEETS THE CRITERIA SET OUT IN SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

CHAPTER 132
(Senate Bill 446)
AN ACT concerning
Health Services Cost Review Commission - Funding
FOR the purpose of establishing a system of financing the Health
Services Cost Review Commission based on user fees collected
from hospitals and related institutions subject to the
Commission's jurisdiction, funds provided by the federal
government, and funds appropriated by the State; providing a
certain formula for the assessment of user fees with a
certain dollar limitation on the total user fees which may
be collected for any fiscal year; providing that user fees
may be used to defray certain costs of the Commission;
providing for certain methods of making payment and for the
assessment of interest on late payment; authorizing the
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to request a State
appropriation, in addition to funds collected as user fees
or received from the federal government, to be used for the
necessary support of the Commission; providing for the
termination of the financing system within certain periods
under certain conditions; and generally relating to the
financing of the Health Services Cost Review Commission.
