CHAPTER 131
(Senate Bill 445)
AN ACT concerning
Division of Parole and Probation - State Service Credit
FOR the purpose of giving State service credit for the purpose of
seniority and leave benefits for certain employees of the
Division of Parole and Probation for certain periods of
time; and requiring the Department of Personnel to alter the
entrance on duty date of certain employees upon submission
of certain documentation.

(A) AS OF THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ACT, ANY EMPLOYEE OF
THE DIVISION OF PAROLE AND PROBATION NOT COVERED BY § 9J OR §
9J-1 OF THIS ARTICLE WHO PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED DUTIES OF THE
DIVISION OF PAROLE AND PROBATION WHILE SERVING AS AN EMPLOYEE OF
A LOCAL SUBDIVISION SHALL BE GIVEN STATE SERVICE CREDIT AS A
DIVISION EMPLOYEE FOR THE PURPOSE OF SENIORITY AND LEAVE BENEFITS
