SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Transportation
16-104.
(a) A Class A driver's license authorizes the licensee to
drive:
(1) Combinations of Class F (tractor) and Class G
(trailer) vehicles; and
(2) Any vehicle that a Class B, C, or D driver's
license authorizes its holder to drive.
(b) A Class B driver's license authorizes the licensee to
drive:
(1) Vehicles or combinations of vehicles with a
registered gross vehicle weight or registered gross combination
weight of more than 25,000 pounds, excluding combinations of
Class F (tractor) and Class G (trailer) vehicles; and
(2) Except as provided in § 16-103(c) of this
subtitle, any vehicle that a Class C or D driver's license
authorizes its holder to drive.
(c) A Class C driver's license authorizes the licensee to
drive:
(1) Buses;
[(2) Class J (vanpool) vehicles;] and
[(3)] (2) Any vehicle that a Class D driver's license
authorizes its holder to drive.
(d) A Class D driver's license authorizes the licensee to
drive any vehicle or combinations of vehicles, except:
(1) Combinations of Class F (tractor) and Class G
(trailer) vehicles;
(2) Vehicles or combinations of vehicles with a
registered gross vehicle weight or registered gross combination
weight of more than 25,000 pounds, but not including an uncoupled
truck tractor;
(3) Buses; AND
(4) Motorcycles[; and
