CODE, FOR COMPENSATION OF STATE EMPLOYEES FOR WORK IN EXCESS OF
THE NORMAL WORKWEEK DO NOT APPLY TO THESE NURSES NURSING
PERSONNEL. UNLESS INELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE OVERTIME COMPENSATION,
ANY ASSIGNED WORK PERFORMED BY NURSES NURSING PERSONNEL IN EXCESS
OF 80 HOURS FOR THE BIWEEKLY WORK PERIOD SHALL BE COMPENSATED AT
ONE AND ONE-HALF TIMES THE HOURLY RATE ESTABLISHED BY DIVIDING
THE BIWEEKLY COMPENSATION BY 80.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

CHAPTER 113
(Senate Bill 245)
AN ACT concerning
Treasurer - Undeliverable Checks Fund
FOR the purpose of providing a procedure by which checks issued
by the Treasurer which are returned as undeliverable are
canceled and warranted into an account entitled
"Undeliverable Checks Fund"; requiring that checks returned
as undeliverable be held in safekeeping for a certain period
of time; requiring diligent efforts to determine the proper
address of the payee; providing for the cancellation of
undelivered checks after a certain period of time elapses;
providing for the reissue of checks warranted into the
"Undeliverable Checks Fund"; providing for the return of
certain funds from the Fund to their source; providing that
the Treasurer shall determine at certain times which checks
have remained in the Fund for 7 years and shall secure a
warrant from the Comptroller transferring those funds to the
General Fund of the State; and providing generally for the
disposition of undeliverable checks.
