SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 75A - Public Accountancy
11A.
(a) Any [Maryland resident] PERSON who is the holder of an
original or reciprocal certificate of "certified public
accountant," but who is not required to obtain a biennial
enrollment certificate, shall register specially with the Board
on a biennial basis. [Such] THE registration shall be
accompanied by a fee, not to exceed $10, and shall expire
biennially on the last day of December of each even-numbered
year.
(b) Any holder of an original or reciprocal certificate who
fails to register as required by this section may not be
permitted to register for any subsequent year until the current
registration fee, plus an amount equal to the total of the
registration fees for the intervening years but not to exceed
$15.00, is paid to the Board. The Board may revoke or suspend
the original or reciprocal certificate of any holder who fails to
register with the Board for a period of three successive years.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

CHAPTER 81
(Senate Bill 80)
AN ACT concerning
Certain Licensing Boards - Continuation
FOR the purpose of continuing the State Board of Examiners for
Audiologists, the State Board of Electrologists, the State
Board of Examiners for Speech Pathologists, the State Board
of Social Work Examiners, and the Board of Examiners for
Hearing Aid Dealers in accordance with the provisions of the
Regulatory Programs Evaluation Act of 1978 Program
Evaluation Act by extending to a certain date the
termination provisions relating to the statutory and
regulatory authority of these boards.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
