AN ACT concerning
Employee Leave
FOR the purposes of (1) providing that an employee's
appointing authority may approve the grant of an additional three
days of annual leave for an employee in accordance with
procedures established by the Chief Administrative Officer; (2)
clarifying the pay status in which an employee must be in order
to receive holiday leave pay; (3) establishing schedules for the
accrual of annual and sick leave for part-time employees; (4)
increasing to 180 days the maximum period for which disability
leave may be granted without special approval; (5) providing that
the Personnel Officer shall develop procedures for the accrual of
additional annual leave days for meritorious employees; (6)
providing that annual leave may be forfeited as a performance
related disciplinary action; (7) clarifying that an employee is
entitled to prior service credit in determining the annual leave
earning rate only upon the employee's written request for such
credit; (8) clarifying the authority of an appointing authority
to place an employee in a sick leave status other than upon
request of the employee; (9) permitting the grant of
