BILL NO. 14-81
AN EMERGENCY ACT to amend Chapter 54, title "Transient
Lodging Facilities," of the Montgomery County Code 1972, as
amended, by repealing and reenacting with amendments Section
54-2, title "Authority of Council to regulate and license," of
Article I, title "In General"; Section 54-19, title "Fees," of
Division 2, title "Licenses," of Article II, title "Hostels,
Rooming Houses, Boarding Houses and Tourist Homes"; and Section
54-23, title "Change of location of establishment; transfer," of
Division 2, title "Licenses," of Article II, title "Hostels,
Rooming Houses, Boarding Houses and Tourist Homes"; to provide
that the County Executive shall have the authority to adopt rules
and regulations including licensing fees for the Chapter pursuant
to the provisions set forth in Section 2-105 of the Code; and
that certain fees shall be established by the County Executive by
written regulation.
Effective Date May 28, 1981.

AN EMERGENCY ACT to amend Section 33-74, title
"Cost-of-living adjustment" of Article IV, title
"Employer-Employee Relations" of Chapter 33, title "Personnel"
of the Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended, to add a new
subsection (b) authorizing the Chief Administrative Officer for
FY-82 to provide for cost-of-living increases of certain merit
system employees at less than seventy-five (75) percent of the
consumer price index.
Effective Date May 15, 1981.
