AN ACT, to repeal and re-enact Section 58 to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edition and 1973
Supplement, being Article I of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland) titled "Allegany County" and subtitled "Payment of
Accounts" to establish the Comptroller of Allegany County as a
countersignature on all checks, drafts, or warrants issued by the
County, as payment of all indebtednesses.
Effective March 31, 1983.

Maryland) titled ALLEGANY COUNTY, and subtitled County Treasurer.
Effective March 31, 1983.

AN ACT to repeal Section 72 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Allegany County (1963 Edition and 1973 Supplement, as amended,
being Article I of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland)
titled ALLEGANY COUNTY, and subtitled "County Treasurer" and to
enact a new Section 72 to be called "County Comptroller" in lieu
thereof, to stand in place of the sections repealed, AND
To repeal and re-enact with amendments, Sections 75, 76, 77,
83, 84, of the same Article, title and subheading, "Tax
Collections" and Sections 86, 87, 88, 89(a), and 89(b), 90, 91,
92, 93, 94, 95, 96(a) (as last amended by Code Home Rule Bill No.
9-75), 96(b) and 96(c), and 97 of the same Article, title,
subtitle and subheading, "Tax Sales" abolishing the Office of
County Treasurer, to re-define the duties of the County
Comptroller, to delete certain unnecessary language, and to
change all references from "treasurer" to "comptroller".
Effective March 31, 1983.
