Operating Grants-In-Aid
Special Fund Appropriation provided
that the funds contained herein
($56,882) for operating subsidies
for the Maryland Midland Railway
Company may not be increased by
budget amendment or other means
during FY 1984. The Secretary of
Transportation will conduct___a
quarterly assessment of the
Maryland Midland Railway
Company's performance to verify
that projected revenue and
traffic estimates materialize.
The Secretary of Transportation
is authorized to cancel the
contract with the Railway Company
on 90 days notice if the
operating projections do not
materialize......................

29.03.01.03 Railroad Facilities and
Capital Equipment
Special Fund Appropriation,
provided that the funds contained
herein ($3 million) for
acquisition and rehabilitation of
the freight rail mainline
property between Delmar and
Pocomoke City shall be expended
for only that purpose. Any
unexpended funds remaining from
the $3 million purchase and
rehabilitation shall revert to
the Transportation Trust Fund.
It is the intent of the General
Assembly that the purchase and
rehabilitation of the freight
rail mainline property between
Delmar and Pocomoke City by the
