The Honorable Benjamin L. Cardin
Speaker of the House of Delegates
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404
Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 239.
This bill continues the existence of the State Board of Law
Examiners in accordance with the Program Evaluation Act beyond
July 1, 1984 to July 1, 1994.
Senate Bill 150,, which was passed by the General Assembly
and signed by me on May 10, 1983, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 239.
