HARRY HUGHES, Governor                                               2427 Annotated Code of Maryland (1979 Replacement Volume and 1982 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article 89 - Division of Labor and Industry 50A. The provisions of this subtitle creating the Apprenticeship
and Training Council and related to the regulation of apprentices
and trainees and any regulations promulgated under this article
are of no effect and may not be enforced after July 1, [1983]
1993. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983. May 31, 1983

Annapolis, Maryland 21404 Dear Mr. Speaker: In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 120. This bill continues the existence of the State Board of
Examiners for Audiologists in accordance with the Regulatory
Programs Evaluation Act of 1978 beyond July 1, 1984 to July 1,
1994. Senate Bill 80, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 10, 1983, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 120. Sincerely,
