2284 JOINT RESOLUTIONS
(3) The Secretary of the Department of Health and
Mental Hygiene or his designee;
(4) The Secretary of Transportation or his designee;
(5) 4 representatives of the Maryland Association of
Nonpublic Special Education Facilities;
(6) 2 representatives of local education agencies;
(7) 2 persons who are parents of handicapped
children;
(8) The State Superintendent of Schools or his
designee;
(9) A representative of the Maryland State Department
of Education, Office of Transportation;
(10) i representative of United Cerebral Palsy of
Maryland; and
(11) 1 representative of the Maryland Association for
Retarded Citizens; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the commission should make a report of its
findings and recommendations to the Legislative Policy Committee
and to the General Assembly by January 1, 1984; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the
Honorable Melvin A. Steinberg, President of the Senate of
Maryland and the Honorable Benjamin L. Cardin, Speaker of the
House of Delegates.

A Senate Joint Resolution concerning
Technological Education Program - Southern Maryland
FOR the purpose of requesting the Legislative Policy Committee to
appoint a Joint Committee to study refer to the appropriate
legislative Committee the study of the feasibility of
establishing a technological education program in Southern
Maryland.
WHEREAS, The unemployment situation in the State of Maryland
is probably at its worst point since the Great Depression; and
