VALUATION OF THE REHABILITATION IMPROVEMENTS TO THE PROPERTY AND
THE RESULTING PHASE-IN OF THAT VALUATION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983. Approved May 31, 1983.
CHAPTER 670 (House Bill 211) AN ACT concerning Creation of a State Debt - The General Construction Loan of 1983,
and the General Construction Loan of 1982 FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt in
the amount of One Hundred Six Million, One Hundred Fifty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($106,159,000) Ninety-Nine Million Five Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($99,575,000) Ninety-Six Million Ninety Thousand Dollars
($96,090,000) One Hundred Three Million, Ninety Thousand
Dollars ($103,090,000) Ninety Nine Million Two Hundred
Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($99,215,000), the proceeds to be
used for certain necessary building, construction,
demolition, planning, renovation, conversion, replacement,
and equipment purposes of this State and for acquiring
certain real estate and options in connection therewith;
providing generally for the issue and sale of bonds
evidencing the loan; amending Chapter 520 of the Acts of
1982, the General Construction Loan of 1982, to modify the
object objects of certain appropriations of unexpended
proceeds from "To provide a grant to Baltimore City for the
development of Fort Armistead Park" to "To provide a grant
to Baltimore City for the development of Fort Armistead Park
and the acquisition and development of other public improvements in the Hawkins Point Area in Baltimore City" and from "Construct a not less than 250 and not more than
300-bed maximum security correctional institution.." to "For
additional construction as needed with the repeal of BG & E
#1 and #2 facilities planning, design, site acquisition and
construction for a 1,000-cell medium-security correctional
facility ..." and from "Provide a portion of the funds to
construct a 720-bed medium security correctional institution
..." to "Provide a portion of the funds to construct and
purchase capital equipment for a 720-bed medium security correctional institution ...", "Design and construct centralized kitchen, facility ... ", "Design, construct and
equip four emergency housing units three pre-engineered
buildings ...", and "Renovate the West and South Wing cell
