HARRY HUGHES, Governor                                        2005 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983. Approved May 31, 1983.
CHAPTER 624 (House Bill 722) AN ACT concerning Public Drainage Associations and , Public Watershed Associations, and Drainage Districts - Easement Records FOR the purpose of requiring certain public drainage associations
and , public watershed associations that are organized
and drainage districts in this State to submit certain
records concerning certain easements for maintenance or
rights-of-way to the appropriate clerk of court; and
requiring the clerks of certain courts to make the records
submitted under this Act available to the public. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article 25 - County Commissioners Section 107 79, 107, and 200
Annotated Code of Maryland (1981 Replacement Volume and 1982 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article 25 - County Commissioners 79. (A)   The board of managers shall by virtue of this subtitle
have and possess such rights-of-way and easements as are
necessary for the construction and maintenance of the drainage
improvements and for the disposition of excavated material
according to standards of good drainage practice. (B) THE BOARD OF MANAGERS OF EVERY PUBLIC DRAINAGE ASSOCIATION IN THIS STATE SHALL SUBMIT TO THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT IN THE APPROPRIATE COUNTY A SUITABLE BOOK, TO BE
KNOWN AS THE "EASEMENT RECORD", WHICH CONTAINS ALL OF THE
EASEMENTS FOR MAINTENANCE OR RIGHTS-OF-WAY, ACCORDING TO THE
ORIGINAL DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS OR FOR NOT LESS THAN 20 FEET, THAT
THE ASSOCIATION HAS ON ANY LAND IN THE COUNTY. THE ASSOCIATION
SHALL BEAR THE RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP THE "EASEMENT RECORD" UP TO
