SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 11 - Frederick County
2-11-2.
The board of county commissioners shall erect and maintain,
out of the receipt of their office, along the rights of way of
the county roads, the necessary stop signs and the necessary
signs, signals, markers or road names, for the purpose of
directing the traveling public, warning them of danger, or for
any other purpose [which, in the opinion of the roads board may
be right or proper]. Any person who fails to obey such stop
signs, unless traffic is controlled by traffic signals or
officers, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine
of not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than twenty-five
dollars ($25.00). Any person who removes, damages or defaces any
such sign, signals, markers or road names shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and fined a sum not less than twenty-five dollars
($25.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00). Such fines
shall be paid to the [county roads] board OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
for road maintenance purposes.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

Annapolis Boundary Commission
FOR the purpose of extending the existence of the Annapolis
Boundary Commission until a certain date for a certain
purpose; extending the date by which the Commission shall
submit its recommendations to the Mayor and Aldermen of the
City of Annapolis; and generally relating to the
recommendations and existence of the Commission.
