HARRY HUGHES, Governor
St. Mary's County [a sum not less than eight thousand five
hundred dollars ($8,500.), with an annual increment of one
thousand dollars ($1,000.), to a maximum of twelve thousand five
hundred dollars ($12,500.) per station.] AN AMOUNT THAT THE
COMMISSIONERS DETERMINE. THE AMOUNT PAID BY THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS MAY NOT BE LESS THAN $16,500 ANNUALLY. However, no
part of the sum shall be distributed to any fire department or
station to be formed in the future which has not been approved by
the St. Mary's County Fire Board.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983. Approved April 12, 1983.
CHAPTER 37 (House Bill 593) AN ACT concerning Frederick County - Advisory Plumbing Board FOR the purpose of providing that the Frederick County Health
Officer shall designate a member of the advisory plumbing
board; and generally relating to the membership of the
Frederick County advisory plumbing board. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article 25 - County Commissioners Section 3(s)(1) Annotated Code of Maryland (1981 Replacement Volume and 1982 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article 25 - County Commissioners 3. (s) (1) (I) In Harford, Frederick and Kent counties, the
county commissioners may provide and prescribe regulations for
the issuance of plumbing permits to be required before any
sanitary systems, plumbing and fixtures may be installed within
the county and provide any fee or charges for any such permits
and for their enforcement. The county commissioners are
authorized to charge reasonable fees for the issuance of zoning
certificates or permits for construction of improvements to real
property.
