FOR the purpose of providing that the term of office for a County
Commissioner of Washington County begins on the first
Tuesday in December after the November election.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

8-1A.
THE TERM OF OFFICE FOR A COUNTY COMMISSIONER OF WASHINGTON
COUNTY BEGINS ON THE FIRST TUESDAY IN DECEMBER AFTER THE NOVEMBER
ELECTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

(House Bill 760)
AN ACT concerning
St. Mary's Calvert, and Charles Counties Public Schools -
Suspended and Expelled Students
FOR the purpose of prohibiting a suspended or expelled student of
St. Mary's County public schools from remaining on school
premises during those hours each school day when the school
the student attends is in session; permitting the student to
return to the school premises under certain conditions;
providing a penalty for violation of this Act; and generally
relating to suspended or expelled students in St. Mary's
Calvert, and Charles counties public schools.
FOR the purpose of providing that a student who has been
suspended or expelled from a public institution of
elementary, secondary, or higher education may be denied
access to the building or grounds of the institution under
certain circumstances.
