1332 LAWS OF MARYLAND
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments Section 388A(b) Annotated Code of Maryland (1982 Replacement Volume and 1982 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments
388A.
(b) Any person causing the death of another as the result
of [his] THE PERSON'S negligent driving, operation or control of
a motor vehicle while intoxicated is guilty of a misdemeanor to
be known as "homicide by motor vehicle while intoxicated," and
the person so convicted shall be punished by imprisonment for not
more than [two] 3 years, or by fine of not more than [$1,000]
$5,000 2,000 or both fine and imprisonment. In any indictment, information, or warrant for homicide by
motor vehicle while intoxicated, it is not necessary to set forth
the manner and means of death.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

CHAPTER 419 (House Bill 358) AN ACT concerning Procurement - Payment of State Obligations FOR the purpose of establishing that it is the policy of this
State to make payment of any money due, under procurement
contracts entered into by the State, within a certain time
of the due date; providing that interest shall be payable at
a certain rate of interest for a certain period under
certain conditions; providing that the Comptroller may alter
that rate of interest under certain circumstances; providing
that the provisions of this Act do not apply under certain
circumstances defining certain terms; requiring certain
determinations; specifying certain exceptions; and generally
relating to the payment of State obligations under
procurement contracts.
