(Senate Bill 444)
AN ACT concerning
State Lottery Agency - Fees and Interest Charges
FOR the purpose of authorizing the State Lottery Agency to charge
a certain fees fee for dishonored checks and electronic
transfers made with insufficient funds; authorizing the
Agency to charge interest on certain money due and owing by
a licensed lottery agent after a certain date; providing
that the rate of interest will be determined according to
certain provisions of the Code; authorizing the Agency to
assess, as a collection fee, a certain percentage amount of
any delinquent account or debt which has been referred to
the State Central Collection Unit; and generally relating to
the imposition of fees and interest charges by the State
Lottery Agency.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(a) For purposes of this article, Article 56, § 137, [and]
Article 62A, AND ARTICLE 88D, § 23A, the applicable rate of
interest per month or fraction of a month shall be as follows:
(1) For the 6 months beginning July 1, 1982,
one-twelfth of the adjusted annual rate of interest established
