AN ACT concerning
Vehicle Laws - Driver's License
Renewal Vision Test
FOR the purpose of requiring certain individuals to pass a
certain vision test as a condition for renewal of a driver's
license; providing that certification from a licensed
physician or optometrist may fulfill the requirements of
this Act under certain circumstances; permitting the Motor
Vehicle Administration to require vision tests at
alternative times under certain circumstances; and providing
for rules and regulations.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Transportation
16-115.
(a) (1) A license issued under this title expires on the
birth date of the licensee in the fourth year following the
issuance of the license.
(2) A license is renewable any time within 60 days
before its expiration, on the presentation in person of an
application [and], the payment of the renewal fee required by §
1*6-111.1 of this subtitle, AND SATISFACTORY COMPLETION OF THE
EXAMINATION REQUIRED OR AUTHORIZED BY SUBSECTION (G) OF THIS
SECTION.
(G) (1) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (3) (2) OF THIS
SUBSECTION, THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL REQUIRE EVERY INDIVIDUAL
