MARYLAND, Sct.:
At an Extraordinary Session of the General Assembly of Maryland,
begun and held in the City of Annapolis on the Sixth
Day of August, 1982, and Ending on the Sixth Day of
August, 1982, Harry Hughes, being Governor of the
State, the following laws were enacted, to wit:
CHAPTER 1
(Senate Bill 1)
AN ACT concerning
Unemployment Insurance - Additional Benefits
FOR the purpose of altering the time when an additional benefit
period under the Unemployment Insurance Law may begin;
repealing a contingent effective date; providing for claims
for, and payment of, additional unemployment benefits;
altering the method for computing the rate of insured
unemployment; making stylistic changes; and generally
relating to certain additional unemployment insurance
benefits; and making this Act an emergency measure.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
