Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 1233.
This bill authorizes the establishment of an
Interagency Committee for Aging Services to replace the
existing interagency task force on planning and budgeting
for aging services. The Interagency Committee consists of
the Director of the Office on Aging, the Secretaries of the
Departments of Health and Mental Hygiene, and Human
Resources. The Director of the Office on Aging would serve
as Chairman.
