(1)  COMPENSATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE
BUDGET; AND

(2)  REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES UNDER THE
STANDARD STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS, AS PROVIDED IN THE STATE
BUDGET.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly appeared as
Article 43, § 568Jc.

In item (2) of this subsection, the former
reference to reimbursement for "all necessary and
proper expenses that are incurred in the
performance of their duties" is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the reference to the
Standard State Travel Regulations. Standard
State Travel Regulations are adopted by the
Department of Personnel with the approval of the
Board of Public Works.

The only other changes are in style.

(D) STAFF.

(1)  THE COMMISSION MAY EMPLOY A STAFF IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE BUDGET.

(2)  THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR AND EACH PRINCIPAL
SECTION CHIEF OF THE COMMISSION SERVE AT THE PLEASURE OF THE
COMMISSION.

without substantive change from the second
sentence of former Article 43, § 568La. and the
second sentence of b., as that sentence related
to the Deputy Director and principal section
chiefs.

19-207. MISCELLANEOUS POWERS AND DUTIES.

(A) GENERAL POWERS.

IN ADDITION TO THE POWERS SET FORTH ELSEWHERE IN THIS
SUBTITLE, THE COMMISSION MAY:

(1)  ADOPT RULES AND REGULATIONS TO CARRY OUT THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE;

(2)  CREATE COMMITTEES FROM AMONG ITS MEMBERS;

(3) APPOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEES, WHICH MAY
