SECRETARY ISSUES:

(1)  THE NAME OF THE MEDICAL TEST UNIT;

(2)  THE NAME OF ITS DIRECTOR;

(3)  THE NAME OF ITS OWNER; AND

(4)  THE CLASSES OF SERVICES THAT THE MEDICAL
TEST UNIT MAY OFFER.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language derived without substantive change from
the second clause of the second sentence of
former Article 43, § 54K(c)(1) and restated in
standard language.

Subsection (b) of this section is new language
added to conform to similar provisions elsewhere
in this title and to reflect the minimum
information required to be stated in the permit.
See §§ 17-410 and 17-413 of this subtitle.

As to inspections before issuance of a permit,
see § 17-402 of this subtitle.

17-408. SCOPE OF PERMIT.

WHILE A PERMIT IS EFFECTIVE, THE PERMIT AUTHORIZES THE
PERMIT HOLDER:

(1)  TO OPERATE A MEDICAL TEST UNIT; AND

(2)  TO OFFER AND PERFORM THE CLASSES OF TESTS
SET FORTH IN THE PERMIT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Item (1) of this section is a standard
provision added for clarity.

Item (2) of this section is new language derived
without substantive change from the third
sentence of former Article 43, § 54K(c)(l) and
rephrased to state expressly that the permit
authorizes offering and performing only the tests
specified on the permit. See § 17-413 of this
subtitle.
