Annotated Code of Maryland

(1977 Volume and 1981 Supplement)

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 135 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1981
Section 2 and 3

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

13.

(g-1) (1) In Wicomico and Somerset counties there is a
six day, and a seven day, Class A (off-sale) beer and light
wine license.

(2)  In Wicomico County the annual license fee
for a six day license is $250.

(2a) In Somerset County the annual license fee
for A six day license is $150.

(3)  The license fee for a seven day license in
Wicomico County is $300.

(3a) The license fee for a seven day license in
Somerset County is $175.

(4)  In Wicomico and Somerset counties, "light
wine" means any fermented beverages not in excess of 22
percent of alcohol by volume.

(5)  In Wicomico and Somerset counties, a person
may not hold a license under the provisions of this section
upon any [premised] PREMISES having any direct or indirect
connection with any drug or pharmaceutical, or other
business establishments of a type commonly known as or
referred to as drugstore.

20.

(1-1) In St. Mary's County such a license may be
issued to a bona fide nonprofit organization or club
composed solely of members who served in the armed forces of
the United States, in any war in which the United States has
engaged, which organization or club operates solely for the
use of its members and their guests when accompanied by such
members, provided such club or organization meets in a
clubhouse principally used for a club, and is neither
