Article 43, § 31D(a).

The defined term "physician", which refers to
individuals authorized to practice medicine, is
substituted for the references to a "doctor", for
clarity. While the former reference "doctor"
might have encompassed medical personnel other
than physicians, the reference appeared
unnecessary since the personnel would provide the
service on behalf of a hospital.

The only other changes are in style.

Former Article 43, § 31D(b), which enabled the
Department to adopt rules and regulations, is
deleted in light of § 2-104(b) of this article.

HAS THE SAME MEANING AS IS INDICATED BY A DEFINITION OF THE
WORD IN § 7-101 OF THIS ARTICLE.

(2)  AS TO A RECIPIENT OF SERVICES UNDER THE
MARYLAND MENTAL HYGIENE LAW, A WORD USED IN THIS TITLE HAS
