14-103. SCOPE OF SUBTITLE.

THIS SUBTITLE DOES NOT SUPERSEDE:

(1)  ANY RIGHT OR POWER OF THE STATE SOCIAL
SERVICES ADMINISTRATION OR ANY LOCAL DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL
SERVICES;

(2)  ANY RIGHT OR POWER OF THE STATE DEPARTMENT
OF EDUCATION OR A COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION; OR

(3)  ANY BUILDING CODE OR ZONING PROVISION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section formerly appeared as
Article 43, § 717 — except item (4) of that
section.

In item (1) of this section, the references to
the "State Social Services Administration" and
"local department of social services" are
substituted for the obsolete reference to the
"State and local department of public welfare".

In item (2) of this section, reference to a
"county" department of education is substituted
for the ambiguous reference to a "local"
department.

In item (3) of this section, the former reference
to the zoning provision being "in effect in any
local area" is deleted as unnecessary.

The only other changes are in style.

Former Article 43, § 717(4), which excluded "a
home, facility, or agency other than the group
day-care centers here defined", is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the use of the defined
term "group day care center" in this subtitle.
