13-205. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS.

THE COMMISSION:

(1)  SHALL INSTITUTE, SUPERVISE, AND PROMOTE
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR THE PUBLIC ON THE PREVENTION AND
TREATMENT OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE; AND

(2)  MAY USE EXISTING PROGRAMS AND GROUPS FOR
THIS PURPOSE.

13-206. GUIDELINES; COUNTY PROGRAMS; EVALUATION.

(A)  COMMISSION GUIDELINES.

(1)  THE COMMISSION SHALL ESTABLISH GUIDELINES
FOR THE EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT AND TREATMENT OF HIGH BLOOD
PRESSURE.

(2)  THESE GUIDELINES SHALL COVER:

(I)  DETECTION;

(II)  CASE FINDING;

(III)  DIAGNOSIS;

(IV)  DIAGNOSTIC WORK UP;

(V)  THERAPY;

(VI)  LONG TERM MANAGEMENT; AND

(VII)  ANY OTHER SERVICES THAT THE
COMMISSION THINKS SHOULD BE COVERED.

(B)  COUNTY PROGRAMS.

(1)  EACH COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT SHALL CARRY
OUT A HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE PROGRAM THAT CONFORMS TO THE
GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED UNDER SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION.

(2)  THE DEPARTMENT SHALL INCLUDE IN ITS ANNUAL
