(C) COMPENSATION AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES.
A MEMBER OF THE COMMISSION:

(1)  MAY NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION; BUT

(2)  IS ENTITLED TO REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES
UNDER THE STANDARD STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS, AS PROVIDED IN
THE STATE BUDGET.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly appeared as
the fifth sentence of Article 43, § 815(b).

The former reference to reimbursement for
expenses "incurred in carrying out their
responsibilities as members of the Commission" is
deleted as unnecessary in light of the reference
to the Standard State Travel Regulations.
Standard State' Travel Regulations are adopted by
the Department of Personnel with the approval of
the Board of Public Works.

The only other changes are in style.

(D). STAFF.

THE COMMISSION MAY EMPLOY A STAFF IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE STATE BUDGET.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly appeared as
the first sentence of Article 43, § 816.

The phrase "staff in accordance with the State
budget" is substituted for "persons as the
Commission deems necessary", to clarify that the
Commission is entitled only to the staff for
which the State budget provides.

The only other changes are in style.

The second sentence of former Article 43, § 816,
which provided for compensation, is deleted as
unnecessary.
