bounded on the North by Naylor Mill Road, bounded on the
East by the corporate limits and Scenic Drive; bounded on
the South by the corporate limit extended Westerly to the
main run of Johnson Pond.
WHEREAS, The City of Salisbury has received a petition
to annex, signed by at least 25% of the persons who are
eligible property owners in the area sought to be annexed
and being contiguous to and binding upon the Northerly
corporate limits of The City of Salisbury, and called the
Naylor Mill Park Annexation for identification, and
WHEREAS, The City of Salisbury has caused to be made a
certification of the signatures on said consent to
annexation and has verified that the persons signing the
petition represent at least 25% of the persons who are
eligible property owners in the area to be annexed, all as
of July 20, 1981, as will more particularly appear by the
certification of Joseph L. Strahl, Deputy Director of Public
Works of The City of Salisbury, attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the consents meet all the
requirements of the law.
[Article I, Sections I - II of the Charter of the City
of Salisbury, Wicomico County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.

RESOLUTION NO. 231
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALISBURY
proposing amendments of the Charter of The City of
Salisbury, by amending Section 22 thereof, so as to increase
the salary of the Mayor from Two Hundred Ninety One Dollars
and Sixty Seven Cents per month to Four Hundred Sixteen
Dollars and Sixty Seven Cents per month for his services,
and providing for increased rates to be paid from and after
July 1, 1984.
WHEREAS, the present salary rates of Councilmen and the
Mayor as compensation for their services were established in
Sections 8 and 22 respectively of the Charter of the City of
Salisbury over five years ago; and
WHEREAS, during such period of time the volume and
complexity of the City's business and affairs has increased
greatly and such increase is continuing, with the result
that the City's demands on the Councilmen and the Mayor for
their services and time have increased substantially and are
likely to continue to increase; and
