RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL

OF OCEAN CITY, MARYLAND

TO AMEND THE TOWN CHARTER

CHARTER RESOLUTION 1981-1

Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Ocean City,
Maryland, adopted pursuant to the authority of Sections 13
through 18 of Article 23A, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, 1973 Replacement Volume (1980 Cumulative
Supplement), to amend the Town Charter to remove
restrictions placed upon the position of Mayor of Ocean City
which presently mandates the position of Mayor to be full
time and prohibits receipt of outside income, whereby repeal
of Section C-402, Subsection D-1 through 3, will allow such
office to receive income from other endeavors and is to be
implemented by amending said Section C-402, Subsection D-1
through 3 by repealing the entire subsection D-1 through 3
which presently reads as follows:

[Section C-402 of the Charter of Ocean City, Worcester
County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and City Council of Ocean City,
Maryland, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11E
of the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article
23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1981 Replacement
Volume), Title "Corporations - Municipal", Subtitle - "Home
Rule", to amend Section C-719 of the Charter of Ocean City
(1972 Edition, as supplemented), Title VII - "Finances",
Subtitle - "Payment of Indebtedness", said Charter Section
C-719 constituting Section 188Q of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Worcester County (1961 Edition, as amended, being
Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), by
repealing the first full sentence of said Section C-719 and
