NOW, THEREFORE, I, HARRY HUGHES, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND BY VIRTUE OF THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME BY THE
CONSTITUTION AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND,
HEREBY ISSUE THE FOLLOWING EXECUTIVE ORDER:

1.  The Inter-Departmental Committee for
Telecommunications Master Planning (CTMP)
is hereby created.

2.  The CTMP will be chaired by the
Secretary, Department of General Services,
or his designee, and will include the
Secretaries of the following departments,
or their designees:

a.  Department of Budget and Fiscal
Planning

b.  Department of State Planning

c.  Department of Public Safety and
Correctional Services

d.  Department of Natural Resources

e.  Department of Transportation

f.  Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene

3.  The CTMP will be responsible for
coordinating the development of a
Telecommunications Master Plan for the
State of Maryland, using such financial
resources as are made available through
budgetary procedures.

4.  The CTMP will organize and schedule its
activities to provide for the development
of a Telecommunications Master Plan,
including proposed legislation, by not
later than June 30, 1983.

5.  The CTMP shall submit quarterly reports
to the Governor concerning the progress of
the Committee's work.
